High blood pressure symptoms
High blood pressure (hypertension) is often called the "silent killer" because it often doesn't cause noticeable symptoms until it becomes severe. However, some people may experience the following signs:
1. Headaches:
While not a consistent symptom, some people with high blood pressure may experience frequent headaches.
2. Nosebleeds:
Occasional nosebleeds can be a sign, but they are not a reliable indicator.
3. Shortness of breath:
If high blood pressure has led to heart problems, you may experience shortness of breath with physical activity.
4. Dizziness or lightheadedness:
This can occur, especially if your blood pressure rises suddenly.
5. Blurred or double vision:
This can be a result of blood vessel damage in the eyes due to hypertension.
